Fault diagnosis method based on multi‐source information fusion for weak interturn short circuit in synchronous condensers

The interturn short circuit fault in rotor windings is a common synchronous condenser. Aiming at the early faults that are difficult to detect, theory of multi-source information fusion applied herein for identification Firstly, field-circuit-network coupling model condenser high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission was constructed using SIMULINK/ANSYS. air gap magnetic flux density regulator with winding obtained, via co-simulation, before and after commutation failure HVDC inverter. Further, three-dimensional models stator were established ANSYS/Workbench; vibration responses monitored system failure. Secondly, three types evidence bodies obtained based on Dempster–Shafer theory. results show confidence level body each faulted component increases, accuracy recognition also increases upon Finally, three-pair-pole motor (MJF-30-6) used simulate rated overexcited operations experimental verification feasibility proposed method. This method provides reference weak condensers.
